Perka Steel Buildings
The Perka Model 7000 is a multi-use, single-slope frame that can offer added versatility to any building project. This model can be designed with many different roof pitches and even varying truss shapes. If you need to butt up to an existing building or create a façade type front while keeping the water/snow runoff AWAY from your patrons, this Model can be your best answer. With Perka’s in-house Engineering and design team, you can modify and customize this frame to meet almost ANY situation or specifications. Perka’s unique pre-punched, pre-welded clip on the inside flange of their columns offers the builder/DIY an easy way to apply wall strapping that can finish BOTH outside and inside walls without having to build “another building” on the inside like you would have to do with most ALL STEEL rigid frame type applications.
The flat bottom cord can also allow you the opportunity to add bottom cord clips to attach strapping to create a flat ceiling with upper attic type space to run conduit or even make a load bearing area for storage if desired. Bays are typically spaced 10? to 18? apart which still allows for plenty of unobstructed space above. The 7000 also lends much easier to parapet or mansard type facades for store or business front accent and signage. It’s a bit pricier than most of the other models, but it lends to many features that make it even easier for interior finishing that sometimes it’s worth paying a little more for the steel frame. Whether you want a three-sided shed, a retrofit lean-to, a side entrance garage or even a mini-mall storefront type building, PERKA has your solution and with this or any other model can still use STEEL where STEEL is needed and WOOD where WOOD serves best!
